Fast File Uploads and Downloads
Working with the File Manager feels like working with your PC. The built-in drag-and-drop functionality will permit you to easily transfer files between your desktop computer and the hosting server. Simply select the file that you would like to upload from your personal computer and then drag it to your browser. The same applies to downloading a file from the File Manager to your disk drive. Besides, you can download files and even folders to your disk drive by pressing the Download button.
Easy File Editing Options
With the File Manager graphical user interface, you can create a new file or folder with only one click. All action buttons are handily located above the file/folder list and you can modify your files without difficulty. You can rename or copy a file, move a file to another folder, explore the contents of a file or change its permissions, erase a file, etc.
Handy Archive/Unarchive Functionality
With the File Manager, you will be able to pack and uncompress all types of files. It does work amazingly fast - just select the files you wish to make an archive of and click the Compress button. You can even select the archive file type (.rar, .zip, and so on). It is just as easy to extract the contents of an archive to a specified folder.
File Editors
With the File Manager user interface, you actually do not need any external pieces of software in order to modify your files. There is an image viewer, which allows you to view the contents of your image files to get an idea of how the images will in fact appear on your site. What's more, you will find several in-built file editors, which will grant you absolute command over your files. The plain text editor and the code editor are intended for more advanced users, while the WYSIWYG editor (where you can view all HTML source code changes in real time) is also suitable for technically inexperienced users.
